Arts Council now defunct.

The Luton Arts ceased to exist from the 1st April 2006.
This site will be left mainly as it is but from time to time it will be updated with events in Luton that may be of interest.

Why Join the Arts Council ?
Well apart from the fact that you can get your group/name and contact details into our directory on this site. You will also have the opportunity to have a say in the way our town develops in the future. Click for more.

MEETINGS

The council will meet in November 2005 to discuss options for the future.

Do you run or are you a member of a company / society? Are you an individual artist? Do you want access to a pool of minds who can find you the information you want about the art form that interests you? If so why not join us? Membership can include individuals as well as groups.

Affiliation is for groups whose activities are in the field of the arts. Annual fee: £20.00

Individual Membership is for those whose art is a solitary form or who just wish to take an active part in the council. Annual fee: £5.00

Associate membership is for individuals who wish to be kept informed of the arts in Luton. Annual fee: £3.00

In House Projects
The L.A.C. runs a number of in house projects including an Annual Drama Festival, Short Story Competition, Amateur Artists (Painting) Competition and Youth Arts Training Bursaries.
L.A.C. publications include our bi-monthly Newsletter, the Arts Directory and our Live Theatre brochure. more

We Need You!
Do you enjoy the arts from a spectator's point of view? Do you enjoy an art form not represented by us? Why not come along and tell us about what you've seen or what you do. We are looking for Arts Reporters who can tell us what they've seen happening in Luton. Whatever your preference, be it Irish Dancing or going to the movies let us know.
We need people of all ages who have an interest in the arts. You do not need to be linked to a group. Are you at the University or Barnfield or Sixth Form? What are you doing? How can we help? How can you help us? - Feedback Form
